Meet the Artist: Lakesha Glover

I am an actress, a producer, an educator, and an entrepreneur. I am a woman who walks by faith. And I believe, with everything in me, that God is about to elevate my career in ways that will require me to be ready. So I am getting ready.

My name is Lakesha Glover, and I have spent the last decade building a life and a career rooted in storytelling. I hold a B.A. and an M.B.A., and I bring both the artistry and the business mind to every room I walk into. I am not just a creative. I am a creative who understands strategy, brand, and legacy.

Building My Team

Right now, I am in one of the most exciting chapters of my career. I recently signed with a new film and television agent. I have a theater agent. And I am actively looking for management. My vision is a small but mighty team of people who believe in the work and understand the mission. I am not looking for a crowd. I am looking for the right people to help move me into my own space, whether that is in Hollywood or in the independent world. Either way, I know where I am headed.

Creating My Own Path

I have never been the kind of woman who waits for permission. That is why I created Tootsie Productions, my own production company. And out of that company came Rosebud, my original TV pilot that I wrote, produced, and brought to life. I am currently exploring turning Rosebud into a vertical series, because I believe in meeting audiences where they are. Chasing Purpose, Not a Paycheck

Let me be clear about something. I am chasing my dream, not money. The money will come. It always follows purpose. Everything I do is rooted in the belief that if I stay faithful, stay intentional, and stay in the work, the doors that are meant for me will open. I did not move to New Orleans to play it safe. I moved here to build something. And that is exactly what I have done.

I teach theater to gifted and talented students across the city. I perform on stages that challenge me and grow me. I create content that empowers women and young people through my brand "Be Bold. Be Brave. Eliminste" And every single day, I show up for this life I have chosen with gratitude and with fire.
